Scott County raced out to a 47-0 lead on their way to a 53-20 victory over Lincoln County. The victors scored two touchdowns on blocked punt returns and recovered four fumbles. The Cardinals got a lot of players in the game tonight as 12 players carried the ball on offense and 36 players recorded tackles on defense.
Scott County recorded 15 first downs and 350 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized eight times for 69 yards and had a pass intercepted. Lincoln County had 16 first downs and 313 yards of total offense. The Patriots were penalized three times for 10 yards and fumbled the ball seven times, losing four to the Cardinals.
Jose Smith led Scott County's ground game with 147 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries. Josh Walls carried the ball four times for 42 yards. Cory Cronin completed five of five passes for 45 yards and one touchdown. Anthony Sandoval caught two passes for 24 yards and a touchdown. Jon Padgett led the defense with five solo tackles. Cody Skimmerhorn recorded two solo tackles, three assisted tackles, and recovered two fumbles.
Trey Edwards led the Lincoln County ground game with 131 yards on 22 carries. Skyler Gilber added 118 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Trey Edwards completed three of four passes for 38 yards and two touchdowns. Skyler Gilber caught three passes for 38 yards and two touchdowns. Trey Edwards led the defense with three solo and seven assisted tackles. Skyler Gilbert recorded four solo and four assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling six yards.
