Scott County dominated on both sides of the ball tonight in a 35-7 victory over Clark County. Scott County's defense held Clark County to 172 yards of total offense. Clark County only completed one of 15 passes and only were successful on one of 11 third down conversions. Scott County gained 365 yards on the ground with a 7.0 average per rushing attempt.
Scott County recorded 19 first downs and 392 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized nine times for 90 yards with one fumble. Clark County had 11 first downs and 172 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were were penalized three times for 15 yards and lost one fumble.
Jose Smith led the Scott County ground game with 178 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries. Cory Cronin added 91 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. Josh Walls carried the ball nine times for 68 yards. Cronin completed two of four passes for 27 yards. Walls caught two passes for 27 yards. Cody Skimmerhorn led the defense with seven solo and four assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 24 yards. Forrest Baker added two solo and five assisted tackles. Josh Walls recorded two solo and two assisted tackles, and recovered a fumble.
Ryan Williams led the Clark County's ground game with 174 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries. Andrew Dini completed one of 13 passes for eight yards. Jarran Thomas caught one pass for eight yards. Robbie Hisle led the defense with eight solo and seven assisted tackles. Chas Campbell added four solo and four assisted tackles.
