Scott County rallied from a 20-13 deficit late in the third quarter to earn a 34-20 victory over Tates Creek. Turnovers plagued Scott County all evening as they lost four fumbles and had one pass intercepted. Scott County tied the game at 20-20 with 1:53 in the third quarter on a 16 yard pass from Cory Cronin to Marcus Hill and a Jay Willmott kick. Scott County's Montrace Pennington recovered a fumble on the Tates Creek three yard line. Jose Smith scored on a one yard run and Willmott converted to give Scott County a 27-20 lead at the end of the third quarter. Jose Smith scored on a 22 yard run in the fourth quarter to provide an insurance score.
Scott County recorded 20 first downs and 305 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized five times for 35 yards, lost four fumbles, and had a pass intercepted. Tates Creek had 11 first downs and 252 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized seven times for 62 yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted.
Jose Smith led Scott County's ground game with 162 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries. Josh Walls carried the ball 11 times for 49 yards. Cory Cronin recorded 47 yards and and a touchdown on 14 carries. Cronin completed three of five passes for 40 yards and a TD with one interception. Josh Walls caught one pass for 21 yards. Marcus Hill caught a pass for 16 yards and a touchdown. Sean Higgins led the Cardinal defense with three solo and seven assisted tackles, with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totalling nine yards. Josh Walls added three solo and four assisted tackles. Montrace Pennington recorded one solo and eight assisted tackles. Pennington also recovered a fumble.
Jontez Jones led the Tates Creek ground game with 44 yards on eight carries. Chris Kemplin completed 14 of 25 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Rozell James caught five passes for 99 yards and a touchdown. Jordan Hagan added four receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown. Alan Beatty led the Commodore defense with 10 solo and six assisted tackles. Joe Conlon added four solo and four assisted tackles. Jacob Kadel recorded five solo tackles, one assisted tackle, and recovered two fumbles.
