Central captured the championship with a 12-6 overtime victory over Belfry. Central recorded eight first downs and 175 yards of total offense. They were penalized five times for 40 yards. Belfry recorded 14 first downs and 221 yards of total offense. They were penalized six times for 35 yards and lost two fumbles.
Deris Cox led Central’s ground game with 102 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Sydney Tedford completed three of seven passes for 33 yards and a touchdown. Devonte Yelder caught two passes for 18 yards. Marcel Malone caught a 15 yard touchdown pass. Donald Styles led the defense with three solo and nine assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss. Derius Jones added five solo and four assisted tackles and recovered a fumble with 31 yards return yardage. Anth. Hamblin recorded four solo and five assisted tackles.
Austin Hatfield led Belfry’s ground game with 105 yards on 19 carries. Trinity Carr added 60 yards on 14 carries. Sani Warren completed four of five passes for 58 yards and a touchdown. Tony Messer caught two passes for 22 yards and a touchdown. Josh Robinson caught one pass for 25 yards. M. Ghormley led the defense with three solo and five assisted tackles. Hayden Hatfield added two solo and four assisted tackles. Zach Thacker, Payton Mullins, and Nick Bunch each recorded three solo and one assisted tackles.
