Coach Bob Beatty’s
Trinity Shamrocks finished 5-5 during the regular season but completed their
post-season sweep with a 47-14 victory over Coach Dave Brossart’s Dixie Height
Colonels to capture the championship.
Trinity recorded 20 first downs and 540 yards of total offense. The Shamrocks were penalized five times for
37 yards.
Donald Brooks led Trinity’s ground game with 128 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries. Jailen Reed carried the ball 11 times for 81 yards and a touchdown. Ryan Young completed 15 of 19 passes for 309 yards and three touchdowns. Donald Brooks caught five passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Rodjay Burns added three receptions for 93 yards. Cooner Carrico caught three passes for 79 yards. Jacob Woosley recorded two receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown. Alex Reisert led the defense with three solo and three assisted tackles. Brenton Ervin added two solo and five assisted tackles. Luke Eskins recorded four solo tackles.
