He Will Still Be There

You've turned away from Jesus but He hasn't turned away from you, When your drinking lets you down He will still be there for you.

You've believed old Satan's lie, You let him sway you with his feel good high.

You know deep inside that kind of high will let you down, In the bottom of a bottle the peace you once knew won't be found.

Satan owns a little more of you with each new beer, But know that Jesus is waiting with open arms to hold you near.

He's your shelter in the middle of the storm, He can melt away the cold and make your heart warm.

Satan will keep your feelings numb, He will tell you, you only have to drink some.

He'll say, you can stop any time your not addicted, But by then your whole life has been afflicted.

You've pushed away the ones who love you, Lord only knows they can no longer get through.

But your still thinking your fine, And all along old Satan is saying, this ones mine.

Yeah he's tricked you with lie after lie, And now you have to drink twice as much to feel that high.

He's got you right where he wants you to be, Your only way out is to ask Jesus to set you free.

You See He never left your side, He waited patiently hoping you'd see how Satan lied.

He will still be there for you, He wants to take you by the hand and help you through.

Don't let Satan win this game, For without Jesus in your life nothing will ever be the same!
