Significance:
Tim McHenry takes over the reigns as camp director. He has never
been to a camp before. The other counselors teach him the ropes.
Last camp with Bill Speight as youth minister. Who could forget En
Vogue (Johnny Kelton, Tracy Speight, Bill Speight, and Derek Johnson dressed
as women) singing "Yesterday?" Last camp for Craig and Marcia Hines
and family before they move to Ukraine as missionaries.
Due to a misscalculation, one night we had chicken nuggets for dinner.
We were only allowed 2 chicken nuggets each. There wasn't enough
to go around.
Nathan Strode is baptized.
I also remember Darrell Duncan doing a devo that centered around
a story of a man and some helium filled balloons.
