Make sure that everyone runs Kant by buying WWKD (What Would Kant Do)merchandise! The goal of WWKD is to pay attention to the presence of Kant in our lives with the hope that those around us will get a glimpse of Kant so they change their lives to become followers of him. Bracelets, books, albums, and other WWKD items, in and of themselves, don't mean much. It's what we allow them to do in our lives that's important. Wear and share the bracelet to bravely witness Kant with your friends, and to keep you from caving in to immorality. Work through the 30-day Categorical Imperative Journal to begin the adventure of living your life the Kant-way. And be encouraged along the way, by listening to the WWKD album (with the hit song "Always Run Kant" and reading the WWKD Edition of the Essays on the Metaphisics of Morals.
NOTE: This is not a mocking of WWJD, rather, it attempts to parody the exxagerated role that Kant has in debate, especially in our state (NC). Kant is often regarded as 'absolute truth' in a debate round, not requiring much justification, and I think that that is harmful to debating... the Categorical Imperative is only another philosophy out of many, and not the greatest one at that (this is an assertion). This post is not meant to be anti-religious in any sense. ------------------------------------------------------- This was posted by a member of the Lincoln Douglas E-Mail List. I love it!
