BABA THE HIPPIE

BABA

Over a year and a half had passed since I last made a movie starring Baba. I knew that my neice, Tomara, was coming up for a week, so I planned another big video starring Baba and the Renegades. This was in the summer of 2002.

The last time we did this, we filmed "My Sharona" driving around town dressed as hippies. The kids had so much fun they wanted to do it again.

This time, we used our new van and I chose the song "Bang A Gong" by Power Station. Once again, we all dressed up like hippies and drove off seeking adventure.

Alex came along this time as Baba Louie, Baba's lovechild. Tomara played Dingleberry and the boys were Flim and Flam.

We went through the drive-thru at McDonalds. I had the music full blast and a fake cigarette in my mouth.

The employees got a big kick out of Baba.

I gave the peace sign to the workers at McDonalds and was dancing around in the van. One guy ran up to the window and gave Baba a high five. The kids got quite a laugh out of that.

We went up to the track and had lunch on a picnic table.

Baba hopped up on the table and played his guitar.

Then, we walked around the track and filmed some more with Baba on the monkey bars.

We went downtown to the city park and the kids played in the water fountain. I got up on the fountain and danced around, playing the guitar.

We went in to our local Big Lots and I got the kids some candy.

We had a good time, but were all exhausted when the filming was over. Peace Man!
