Back in 2003 I was living in Eastern Kentucky in a town called Pikeville. I worked as a Team Manager for Sykes, a call center that does tech support.
I started something new at Sykes with my idea for dress up days. Many of the employees there liked the idea and participated in several planned dress up days.
May 2, 2003 was designated as Hippy Day. We had a big turn out for this event. Several of my friends participated including Denna Hall, Marianne Elswick, Carol Rushing and Thomas Milam.
Several of us went to Human Resources and told Denise that we heard they were giving drug tests and we were there to test the drugs.
We all had fun on Hippy Day and took lots of crazy photos, several of them outside by the loading dock.
I miss the gang at Sykes and this page is dedicated to them.
