Appendix b.

The Raven.

A raven, the watchman on guard over fallen warriors, circles slowly in the currents high above glistening in the moonlight.

His sleek black form forever silent, forever attentive.

A sentinel with piecing ebony eyes he awaits any call to avenge his long lost brethren.

Cynric released him many, many, moons ago in tribute to Britain's greatest warrior king. He even today guards the skies across olden Durotriges and over Wessex. Downton, Charford, Knowlton, Old Sarum, Clearbury, Witherington and Whitsbury warrior ancestors and their descendants slumber peacefully below.

During many a summer's day he can be spotted proudly barking away as if to converse with his forever resting loyal armies.

He stands guard, his forever duty now to respond only to a call to lead Britain out of any future danger.

That Raven is Cerdic is Arthur.

Britains Once And Future King.
