6 bacon strips
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 can ( 21 ounces) pork and beans
1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
1 can ( 15 ounces) lima beans (rinsed and drained)
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 tsp prepared mustard
1 tsp salt
In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp Remove to paper towels to drain Discard drippings, In the same skillet, cook beef and onion until beef is browned and the onion is tender Drain. Combine beef and bacon with remaining ingredients Spoon into a greased 2 quart baking dish Bake, uncovered at 300 degrees for 1 hour or until the beans reach desired thickness
