Sausage Gravy & Biscuits

(For My Husband Tony)

Sausage Gravy

1 lb. sausage
4 Tbsp. flour
Salt and pepper
2 to 3 cups milk

Crumble sausage in hot pan. Fry until there is no pink, over medium high heat. Add flour. Stir quickly. Stir until a paste forms. Then add milk. Add salt and pepper. Mixture should be thick.

Buscuits

2 cups self rising flour
1/4 to 1/2 cup shortening
1/4 cup milk

Mix shortening with flour, Add milk, stirring quickly. Knead and put on flat surface. Roll out and cut dough into circles (I use a glass) Place on baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.

Split Biscuits open, top with gravy. This is a favorite at our house. You may also use can busicuits instead of making buscuits.
