| To look at the layout of the switches and knobs, this would look like a normal CARVIN wiring job.But CARVIN uses single throw switches for their pickups, basic on/off.I am using double throw switches,with center being off, donwn is dual coil and up is single coil. With the CARVIN lay out you have to pay extra for this option and then have 2 more switches installed on the guitar.Not a good option for me.With this layout I can achieve all the pickup options that are possible. If I ever get a better body to build, I'll also install push/pull switches for the volume knobs,where one will be Phase and the other Series/Parallel.I also have planned a multi- selector for the tone control. | |||
 | This was the lastest amp that I played through, not the exact model.But the same company.Mine had an oak cabinet and 9 channels!! GREAT Tone,and we all know that Tone is everything!A friend of mine purchased the amp in L.A. from Elliot Easton, guitarist for the CARS. I had a 12" speaker in it but never used it. I played through a custom 4X12" cabinet. |
