When I started teaching on what I knew of Revelations, it was with the knowledge I had received from Preachers down through the years and accepting what they said instead of what the Bible says.

While my computer was down I used what time I had, when I was not taking care of my friend to get into more in-depth study of God's word, I even went out into some other areas of studying in order to learn more what I felt God was showing me.

Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
Re 4:2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

I said this was a teaching from most doctrines that between the incident of the churches and this time span of John, that this was when the rapture was to occur, this was what I had been taught and because the Church was not mentioned after this, that this was the time span of the rapture as we know it. Well this is not true. The rapture or calling out will be at the near end of the tribulation period and we are already in that, in fact almost through it.

This rapture or calling out of the Christians is what I want to deal with right now.

This new line of studying is going to be kind of hard to keep in perspective so bare with me and please if there is anything you do not understand or agree with please let me know.

Okay let us look at what changed my views

I was reading about the battle of Jerico and when I came to the part where they walked around the seventh time and blew the trumpets the seventh time it was like God said "go read 1 Cor. 15:53

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

As I read this I knew it was dealing with the rapture as I knew it but was unsure what it was saying so I went back and read about Jerico again and the seven trumpets, then I went back to this and read and then I saw it said when the last trumpet blew, just like at Jerico, then I was led to read Revelations 11:15 -19

Rev. 11:15
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

The seventh angel sounded, in other words the seventh trumpet, there were only seven trumpets mentioned so this seventh trumpet had to be the last triumph found in 1st Cor. 15:53

Re 11:16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
Re 11:17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
Re 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

In 1 Thes. 4:16 we find almost the same statement dealing with the rapture, as found in 1 Cor., the only difference being in Thes. it says the trumph of God, we know all of the seven trumhets were of God especially the seventh or last trumph.

1 Thes. 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

1Th 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1Th 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words Now I hope you can see where I am coming from with the seventh (or last) trumpet.

With the next lesson we will go into more detail about the rapture part.
