Half Bariaur

A half bariaur is the offspring of a union between a human and a bariaur. These unions are very rare because, in normal conditions a human and a bariaur never mate together and remain without result. In fact only few half-bariaur were known in all planar history.

Half-bariaurs are a gift but are themselves very gifted. Their strong roots give them often extraordinary capacities as well as mighty physical traits. Beside this fact the bariaur are well known for their intelligence, which could mean that half-bariaur, are all but stupid.

Physically half-bariaur are close to humans but their lower body is one of a goat which means they look like satyrs. Male half-bariaur have little horn growing on their head but their length doesn't exceed 1 or 2 inches.

Ability adjustment: The adjustment to the bariaur depends on their sex but in the case of their offspring with a human the thing is different. All half-bariaur have a +1 bonus to their Constitution and a –1 adjustment to their Dexterity.

Special abilities: All half-bariaur are talented warrior especially with spears and bows which means they have a +1 bonus with those weapons. Although most of male half-bariaur have little horns those cannot be used as an effective weapon. All half-bariaur have a natural 60' range infravision and are only surprised in a 1 roll. Their great resistance to spells grants them a +1 bonus on their saving throws. Their link to nature and animals helps them move normally in their natural envornment and they are treated like those creatures in face of some spells.

Special hindrances: Half-bariaur don't have any special hindrance.

Class options: Half-bariaur can be fighters, rangers, priest or druids. Multiclassed characters can be fighter/priest. Half-bariaur always chooses deities of nature, animals or vegetation.

 Half bariaur can be of any size and weight but tend to be tall and muscular. All of them have powerful goat-like legs covered with soft brown or golden fur. Adult male half-bariaur always have small horn on their forehead.

Common alignment – These alignment are the standard one for PC and NPC
Rare alignment – These alignment are rare, which mean than the PC with it are rare to.
Very rare alignment – PC with those alignment are unique ore close to. This means that a PC has a personality that doesn't match with the one of his kind. He won't by accepted in the social structure of his race.
Forbidden alignment – A PC with this alignment is viable, but for a very short time. No other of his kind will ever accept to have something in common with him.
