Banana Peppers

banana peppers
3 quarts water
1 pint vinegar
3/4 cup canning salt
1/2 tablespoon alum
1/2 tablespoon pepper

Can leave peppers whole or slice in half and remove seeds. Fill canning jars. Mix water, vinegar, canning salt, alum, and pepper together. Boil for 10 minutes and pour over pepers. Process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
