1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg yolk
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Mix ingredients together and chill for one hour. Roll into balls and put on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from oven press your thumb in midddle of cookie. Continue to bake another 8 minutes.

Icing For Thumbprints
1 cup powdered sugar
2/3 tablespoon butter
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
evaporated milk
food coloring
Mix powered sugar, butter, and vanilla together, Add enough evaporated milk to make consistany. Add any color of food coloring mix and frost thumbprints.
