1/3 cup flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cup cornmeal
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk

Mix all ingredients together and drop by spoonfuls into 350 degrees deep fryer. Fry until golden brown.
