Baked Pork Chops In Mushroom Gravy

pork chops
salt
pepper
flour
1 onion diced
shortening
1 can cream of mushroom soup
water

Roll pork chops in flour, salt and pepper and brown. Place in baking dish. Brown onion add to baking dish with pork chops. Melt shortening and add flour as if to make gravy. Stir in cream of mushroom soup adding enough water as if to make a pan of gravy. Stir and pour over pork cops. Cover and bake until meat is tender and gravy thickens.

Gravy will thicken as it bakes. Usually takes 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
