I live in what they call the Permian Basin of West Texas with my daughter and son-law. You all can blink your eye here in West Texas and the weather will change. It is the desert, but for the past few years you all wouldn't know it. I think sometimes we are getting the weather from back home, which by the way is the mountains of southern Kentucky. I have lived here for a little over three years now moving from El Paso, Tx where I lived for over twenty years. Some good things do happen in El Paso, but it seems all anyone hears from there is the bad news.
I was a nurse before becoming disabled and then turned to office work with computers. Still in the medical field though. I worked for the military for many years and was working during the first Gulf War.
I also love children very much. I have logos's here for you all to look at on my support of abused children around the world, children who are run aways or missing, Child Alert System on children who have been abducted, and also on the Child Protection Society(CPS). I hope you all take the time to look at these sites. Children are our future generation and as I am sure you all know in this summer of 2002 we have had children murdered, abused and abducted. Some have managed to be found and have gotten away from their abductors, but many have not been found. This has been going on for years, but it seems like this year people are starting to pay more attention because of what they call high profile cases, but not all of our children being in the same situation are in this catagory. They are children who are in a middle or poorer class of social people. We must also remember that all these people are not just strangers to our children, but people they know such as friends, neighbors and even relatives. Fathers and Mothers both taking their children so that another parent can't see them. There are not just these children, but also runaways living on streets doing anything they can to get by. Parents need to live a life that shows their children that taking drugs, running with gangs, drinking alcohol and bad morals is wrong. Parents are the ones who need to keep Satan away from our children and not give him one chance to get near them. We really need to pray for all our children ,talk to them and know where they are at at all times. Day or night. To watch closely and to see if there is a change in them in anyway so we can get them help. At times it is called tuff love, but we must see that our children are loved, who their friends are and talk to them and most of all raise them in a Christian Home and show them by the way you conduct your life and live that they will have a role model so they will live their life the way you teach them and raise them. Don't forget to look at the Amber Alert System.
Besides my love of my Lord, my family, my friends and children, I love to do any kind of arts and crafts. Something new comes out and I guess I am one of the first to want to learn it. Of course I love the internet also. I am one of those collectors also. I collect porcelain dolls, music boxes of all kinds, procelain birds, roosters and anything I can find in Native American arts and crafts. The Native American things I especially love. I have other things also.
As far as things I don't like is certain foods (which everyone does), gossip, people who are prejudice, dishonesty, people who talk about you behind your back, protesters and people who lie about things. There are other things I probably don't like, but I think I have said enough about this subject.
Well, I guess I have gabbed enough about me although I could probably go on. Please look at my other pages as you all take a walk thru my life, visit awhile with me and see what the Lord has done for me.
