OUR LORD and SAVIOR

MY FRIEND!!!JESUS CHRIST DESIRES FOR YOU TO BE HIS FRIEND

Would you be willing to give your son as God gave His. No, most people wouldn't. God gave His Son to die on the cross for us. He died for our sins. That's how much God loves us. Without God we are nothing. I thank God for giving me my Salvation. How many of you can say this? Would you let your son die a horrible death on the cross for even one person? No, I think not. God did because He loved us so much. He gave His Son to be crucified for our sins.

How many of us have a really true friend? The type of friend who would never betray his or hers trust. A friend who will always be there when you need him. A friend who is concerned about your needs, your heartaches, your problems, and even the things you desire in life. A friend whose love for you will not change even when you change. Such a friend would be a real treasures.

It has been said that if a man goes through life and has one true friend, he has been very fortunate. I want to tell you about a friend of mine who is just the type we have mentioned. He is a Friend who can meet every need of your life. The Bible describes my Friend "as a friend that sticketh closer than a brother"(Proverbs 18:24) In the book of Matthew , chapter eleven and verse nineteen it says that He is a Friend of sinners.

This Friend is someone who loves you so much that He gave His life for you. The Bible says in John 15:13 "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends"

Jesus Christ gave his life for you over 2000 years ago-before you were ever born. He laid down his life on the cross, was buried three days, and rose from the grave to save you from your sin. His desire was that you might become His friend by accepting Him as Savior. He offers to you today His friendship, He offers you eternal life, He offers you a way of escape from the judgment that is to come.

Jesus Christ can be the friend you need in your life, but the decision is yours. To turn down the friendship of One who offers freely the gift of eternal life and promises to meet our needs in this life would truly be a tragic mistake.

Consider these things my friend-you need a Savior. The Bible says,"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23) The reason you need a Savior is because you have sinned. We all are sinners. As sinners, there is no way we can earn our way, or work our way to Heaven. There is not a thing that man can do, regardless of how good he is compared to others, he is still a sinner and falls short of God's perfection.

You cannot save yourself. The Bible says "For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23) This death speaks of the second death. Revelation 20:14 and 15 says, "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire" Yes, the Bible teaches that there is an eternal lake of fire where sinners who find no way of paying the penalty of their sin will spend eternity. No imperfect sinner can pay his own penalty because God demands a perfect sacrifice for sin.

Yes, Jesus Christ is the answer for man's sin problem. The Bible says in Romans 6:23,"...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." God has a free gift for every man who will receive it. That gift is eternal life for all who will believe that death, burial, and resurrection of Christ is all they need to trust in for God's forgiveness. Only Christ can save you. Trusting in any other thing will be bring condemnation. If you have been trusting in your church membership, or baptism, or some good works, please realize right now that none of these things can save you from your sin. Christ is the one and only answer.

The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8 and 9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Salvation and an eternal home in heaven is a free gift from God that can only be yours if you trust in Jesus Christ and nothing else.

Yes, Jesus Christ died so that you could become His friend. Only through the blood of Christ which was shed on Calvary's cross can we become a friend of God. Jesus paved the way to Heaven with His own blood. Now, you very simply must trust Him as the way to God.

The Bible says in Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

We must simply open our hearts to Christ and receive Him as Lord. In John 1:12 it says, "But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name." Does this make sense to you? If it does, Romans 10:13 tells us what we must do to be saved. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Friend here is all it takes to have this one true Friend who can save you from your sin. Right now, acknowledge your sin and your need of a Saviour, believing that if you turn from your sin (repent) and accept Christ as Lord of your life, you can be saved.

Why not pray this prayer now: LORD JESUS, I AM A SINNER AND I NEED A SAVIOR. RIGHT NOW I TURN FROM MY SIN AND ACCEPT YOU AS MY LORD AND SAVIOR. I AM TRUSTING YOU AND YOU ALONE FOR MY SALVATION, BELIEVING THAT YOU DIED AND ROSE AGAIN FROM THE GRAVE. I THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME.

If you have prayed this prayer and been saved, it is vital that you associate yourself with a Bible-believing church that can teach you to grow in Christ. You will find friends there that can help you to know more about Jesus Christ, your new found Savior.

Every tearful plea.
