MOUNTAIN FEIST DOGS

Sky Test: Set Background

Below is Old Skeet and Spunk Split treeing. I got Spunk at 6 weeks old for a stud fee pup from Mr. Elkins. Spunk and Skeet had the same sire ( old Pal ) and his dame was half Elkhound and a darn good squirrel dog. I sold Gary McCoy Spunk when he was a yearling and he hunted him until old age and was car killed. Spunk was a natural tree dog and started treeing on his own running loose in the yard. By the time he was 6 months old I was solo hunting him bagging lots of squirrels. The day Gary tried him out he bagged 21 squirrels with him. I never used Spunk as stud on any of my females.

When Skeet was Young

Ole Skeet sometimes would bring a squirrel back before you could reload your gun.

Cliff and Booger

Below was the Late Clifford Justice and his dog Booger Clifford and I were only 11 months different in age and lived only a half a mile apart our whole lives. He was a life long friend and hunting buddy. Anyone who knew Clifford would tell you he was a true gentleman and an avid sportsman. Columbus Shepherd bred a dandy female to My old Stud Dog Pal and she had 11 pups. I got Skeet for a stud fee pup and Cliff bought Booger for a whopping $35. But now that was a few decades ago. As you can see in this pic Cliff made a great squirrel dog out of Booger killing hundreds of squirrels form him. Booger is in the dogs I have now pedigree.
