5-25-97. Last show in Boston.
The last performance of RENT in Boston. What an emotional show. What memories. What tears. I was fortunate enough to be sitting in the 5th row of the orchrestra for the show. When manley walked out, we went insane. Then Luther came out and we screamed and Luther gave manley this look like "oh shit". The song RENT rocked the house. Never mind the fact that during Collin's and Joannes's line we were screaming. The whole first act rocked! LMC and Today4U were great, and manley was especially doing a great job. Simone's Out Tonight left us astounded as usual. Over The Moon was too damn funny. Near the end Carrie stopped mid sentence, looked at the rushers who were crazy and said "Stop That Or you will hurt yourself". The mooing of course rocked. La Vie Boheme. You knew this number was gonna be crazy. Since we all know of manley's sucky guitar playing, when he got up to play in LVB, here just banged the f**k out of the guitar and gave us this look like "fuck it". It was too funny. Season's of Love was amazing as usual. When Queen walked out for her last solo, everyone yelled "we love you queen!" and she started crying. It was classic. TMOLM rocked as usual, and WithoutYou sounded exceptionally beautiful. I don't know about ya'll but I was just about crying at that point. What followed was amazing. The rest of the show rocked. I especcially loved how Dan and cristina came out for bows. After teh show was a stage door mob scene. I got in there though, and it was awesome. Lot's of tears. I left feeling sad, but hopefully knowing trips to follow the tour would be arranged!!
