TOMMY LEE has announced his plans to do a solo album once the Crue get off the road. According to Tommy, who is set to handle both guitar and lead vocals as well as drums, it will be a continuation of his Barb Wire soundtrack contribution, 'Planet Boom', "something like THE CRYSTAL METHOD-meets-THE PRODIGY with some hip hop flavors. It's just like this smorgasboard of insane flavors." T-Bone has already approached a number of guest musicians for his new venture and hopes to get things rolling sometime early next year. WARRANT guitarist RICK STEIER married longtime fiancée LESLIE MALTZ on Sept. 5 at a beautiful and festive wedding attended by 200 guests, including Rick's Warrant bandmates, DOKKEN's JEFF PILSON, JAMES KOTTAK and his wife (and KRUNK bandmate) ATHENA, TOMMY HENDRIKS, and MATT THORR. A slight shower threatened the outdoor ceremony at the Piru Mansion, but the rain stopped when a radiant Leslie came down the aisle. Later, Rick, James, ALAN KRIGGER, and BRUCE ROBINSON took over the wedding band's instruments and jammed on a couple of tunes, "Some Kind of Wonderful" and "All Right Now." The newlyweds are off to the Virgin Islands for their honeymoon. JANI LANE, attended with wife ROWANNE and adorable baby daughter MADISON. He's looking forward to demoing more JABBERWOCKY songs and returning to the road with Warrant in late October/early November on a west coast run, possibly with SLAUGHTER and BULLETBOYS. ATHENA happily reported that her brother TOMMY LEE was released from jail the night before, and was looking forward to seeing him. They'd talked to each other several times a day while he was in L.A. County Jail, offering mutual support. She's hoping to resume playing dates with Krunk soon.
