SURF'S UP

produced by the Beach Boys

Band line-up
Mike Love
Brian Wilson
Carl Wilson
Dennis Wilson
Al Jardine
Bruce Johnston

Slightly weaker than the previous two albums, this album is still good enough that MOJO magazine's readers voted it into the 100 Greatest Albums Of All Time in late 1995. The album is generally patchy, but the highlights (especially the title track, 'Til I Die,Disney Girls and Carl's songs) are stunning. This is the last album to feature Bruce Johnston until LA (Light Album) and the first to feature lyrical contributions from manager Jack Rieley, who played a substantial role in the songwriting for this and the next two Beach Boys albums.
