Always

Don't try to pretend
Don't lie, I know that you will

You'll say that you love me,
Just like the others did.

Then you'll leave me too.
Don't tell me you won't,

For I know that you will.
You'll leave me, just like all the others.

You'll turn and walk away.
And never look back

And what of me?
What will I do?

I'll shrivel up and die,
Old before my time.
Without a heart, no one can live,
And you'll walk away with mine.

I love you,
As I have loved no other

My heart will always be yours,
Even when you walk away.

You'll take with you
The better half of my soul

Never again will I be whole
Without you.

You will walk away,
You will turn your back.

You'll shatter my soul,
You'll tear me in half.

You'll make me old,
While I'm supposed to be young.

You'll make me cry,
While you're having fun.

And when you walk away,
And ruin my life,

You'll go on living,
And you'll know that I'm yours.

I will be, for all time.
I will be, forever.
