Untitled

Will you forgive me?
Can you forget?

Are you willing to let the past
Be just that?

I know you'll remember what I did, what I said,
What I ask is that you put the pain out of your head.

Let me tell you I'm sorry
Let me say you were right.

Just please don't let us continue this fight.

I think I was tired,
And my nerves were all frayed,

But I would have calmed down,
If only you'd stayed.

But if you just can't forgive and forget,

Remember I'll be here,
I won't go just yet.

If ever you need me,
Even just as a friend,

Just know I'll be waiting,
'Till my life's at its end.
