11-30-2001 (sad)

George Harrison

I can't think of anything to say.

11-30-2001

Harry Potter was very good. Not as good as the book, because obviously they couldn't squeeze every little detail into the movie, but they did a pretty good job of it. I liked it very much. I would see it in the theater... nine times. (This is in contrast to say, Episode I, which was very high quality, but I only saw in the theater 6 times. I'm a horrible Star Wars fan, I'm sorry. But Episode II looks like a winner! I'm so excited! And in contrast to say, Riding in Cars with boys, which I kind of regret even seeing one time.)

Hey! Shelly gave me the movie 'Willow'! I have been looking for that movie for about 4 years! It is the most impossible movie to find! They don't make it on VHS anymore, but she found a copy at Suncoast from about 7 years ago that they just found in the back room. Woohoo! Lucky for me. :)

I'm thinking of adding a new section to my page. It will be called 'Doodle of the (insert unit of time here)'. Obviously Noneckasauraus would be the first one, but I found a nice litte green buddha that might be fun. (Or is he a sumo wrestler?) I don't know. We'll see how that works out.

11-29-2001 (againo)

Well, today is my real birthday. So far it was very good except for the part when we watched the depressing video in dance appreciation, which made me sad, which I believe is illegal in some countries, but that's okay. My friend Anna (who is swell, you should visit her page) made this which made me laugh very hard and you should go look at it too.

Hmm. What else happened today... more slides of artist's impressions of archaeological sites in archaeology, more unnecessary reading of the assignment that was not discussed. You'd think I'd learn something from all this... nope. Nothing has been learned here. More haikus in Ancient Roman History. I wrote a beauty about Emperor Vespasian, just because I like his name. VESPASIAN! I AM COOL!

We are going to go to Applebees at 6ish for dessert, provided we have eaten dinner by that time (by 'we' I mean whoever is around and feels like coming) and then we are going to see Harry Potter (this time by 'we' I mean my roommate and I... apparently we are more childish than our friends). So that should be good. At least I hope so.

My wonderful parents are wonderful and sent me a cake. How cool was that?! I won't be able to eat it all, so come over and eat some. Seriously.

11-29-2001

Well... here I am.

Yup.

11-28-2001 (Yeah, again, sorry.)

**This is a public service announcement from the management**

I am not as dumb as you think. Thank you, that is all.

**We now return you to your regularly scheduled website.**

11-28-2001 (again)

Hmm. I'm not sure I know what to make of that. No-Neckasauraus.

11-28-2001

Guess what tomorrow is? IT'S THURSDAY!

Today in Tai Chi we got to play with swords. I think that's what we're doing for the rest of the semeseter which is very cool because it makes me feel all Robin Hoodish. Except he was a guy, and he used a bow and arrows. Umm. Well. You try it, you'll see what I mean. Heh, swords are fun.

11-27-2001 (yet again)

Things that should not go in the microwave:

1) Cold french fries
2) Paper
3) Bananas and cheese
4) Aluminium foil
5) Clementine oranges
6) Small dogs and rodents
7) Glue
8) Videotapes
9) Other microwaves

10) Marching band music

I hope you remember all that.

Dance was very very very good today! Yay! I was all sweaty and it was neat. I have wonderful change two threes. :)

11-27-2001

"You know what's funny? My friends found menacing notes from Michael Jackson on their doors, and blamed Jessie and me. I mean, really. We're so innocent, and Michael Jackson obviously wants attention." - Hmm... Isn't it strange how Anna and I get blamed for Michael Jackson's actions. It's very weird. Odd. I wonder why that keeps happening.

11-26-2001 (much later)

I forgot to mention that I got a B on my geography test. Which wouldn't be stellar except that Prince Didn't-Even-Apologize-For-Not-Calling-Me-And-Instead-Just-Sat-There-And-Pretended-Nothing-Happened-Because-I'm-A-Stupidpoopheadguydude-And-That's-What-I-Do got a D. So there.

That's bad, I shouldn't be spiteful, I should feel bad because he didn't do as well as he had hoped.

Humph.

I'll think about that tomorrow.

11-26-2001

And that is all I have to say right now.

11-25-2001 (AGH!)

U2 IS ON THE TV RIGHT NOW! AAAHHHH! IT IS THE NEW BOSTON DVD!! AAAAHHHHHH! IT ROCKS MY SOCKS OFF!! AAAAAHHHHHH! I CAN'T HANDLE THIS! AAAAHHHHH!! MUST... BUY... DVD... PLAYER!

11-25-2001 (again)

Ooh, it was my pretend birthday again last night, so my parents and my sister gave me presents. What a good family I have. :) Melanie got me socks. Woohoo! I actually did need socks. And... I got the 'O Brother Where Art Thou' soundtrack from my parents, and a Barnes and Noble gift certificate. And a movie gift certificate! So I can go see a fun movie on my real birthday.

Oh! We watched Shrek and had a Dairy Queen treatza pizza. It was a wonderful pretend birthday.

11-25-2001

Heeeerrreeee IIIIIII aaaaammmmm... the only living girl in La Crosse. No, actually there are lots of people here now, but there weren't when I first got here.

So here I am.

Back at school.

Dang.

11-24-2001 (Pretend it is Jessie's Birthday Day part II)

AAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!! THERE WERE FREE U2 CDS AT BEST BUY THIS MORNING AND I COMPLETELY MISSED THE MEMO!! NOOOOOOOOOOO!! This is catastrophic. How in the world did this happen?!

Oh well, since we're pretending it is my birthday again, I have to be in a good mood. Yay! I have seven birthdays! :)

11-23-2001

Hmm... today is "pretend it is Jessie's birthday" day. It was fun. Went to the Olive Garden and ate waaay too much food for the second day in a row and then we went to see Monsters Inc. which was very good, I highly recommend it.

I think I'm going over to Molly's now. She's fun.

11-22-2001

Happy Thankgiving! Happy happy happy!

We went to my cousins' house, which was cool, because they are cool, and we are cool, so everybody there was really cool. It was cool. I ate too much. But it was so fun! The food was delicious especially after three months of Blimpie's, Chars and Whitney. Thank goodness for Thanksgiving. That is what I am thankful for. And my family, they're okay people. :)

Ooh, and then U2 was on the tonight show. Woohoo! On American Armed Forces Come to the Tonight Show day. So it was a little weird but all turned out veeeery well. Except that Jay only talked to Bono and I felt that the rest of the band was slighted... maybe that's a new thing they're trying out.

11-21-2001 (again)

Not too much interesting happened, but I taught my sister the third step of the reel! Wow, that was a thrill. I went to Culver's and got to see Molly which was exciting.

My sister and I are driving my mom crazy and I have only been here for four hours.

It's good to be home.

11-21-2001

I get to go home today! Yay! But first I have to go to Western Lit and take a test in Geography. Ooh, yay.

Saw the new Alien Ant Farm video about two seconds ago and the guy in that band dances like a big dork. It's kind of comforting, as I can relate to the dorky dancingness. Anyway.

Going to take my test now. More when I get home if anything interesting happens.

11-20-2001

This is how today went:

8:00 am - Alarm goes off for first time. Don't wake up.
8:01 am - Roommate tells me to turn of alarm.
8:02 am - Finally comprehend words coming out of roommate's mouth and hit snooze button.
8:30 am - Begin thinking about getting out of bed. Decide against it.
8:34 am - Realize I'm going to be late for my 8:50 class, and actually get up. Run to class.
10:00 am - Back from class. Start packing.
10:03 am - Decide packing is boring and look at my sheep Michael Jackson.
10:04 am - Must be sleeping, because Michael Jackson convinces me to keep packing.
11:00 am - History. Highly unproductive, but luckily before I hand in my paper, Slugger informs me that one of my footnotes says, "He married his niece. That's rather disgusting." Footnote is crossed out in the nick of time.
11:35 pm - Wonder if I can write all my notes in the form of many many many haikus.
12:30 pm - Back in my room. Attempt to write archaeology paper but start talking to Anna who sends me a beeeautiful flash movie she made staring the lovely Disco Squirrel I drew yesterday. (You should watch it, it's so choice. AIM me and let me know.) Thinking about putting Disco Squirrel and some of my finer creations with Paint on page. Hmm. We'll see.

2:00 pm - Extremely long archaeology class. Think class is over! But then there is a whole other group of slides to watch. Slides are not of actual archaeological sites, but of artist's renditions. Wondering why I read 50 pages of an assignment that was not even discussed. Professors work in mysterious ways.
3:30 pm - Begin walk to car, which is in scary Guam parking lot.
3:45 pm - Finally get to the car! Victory is mine! Drive to dorm to pack up car for tomorrow.
3:47 pm - Roommate is sleeping. Have to move out quietly.
4:52 pm - Picking up last bits of things to put in car. Roommate wakes up and asks if I need any help. Hmm.
4:53 pm - Choice parking across from the building has been taken while I have been inside getting my last things. Drive car back to Guam and try to ignore it's crying as I leave it alone in the middle of nowhere yet again.
5:14 pm - Finally get back to room. Now I'm here. It is dark. I get to start studying for my geography test now. This has been a very productive day. :)

And the best part about today is that I get to go home tomorrow! Yay!

11-19-2001 (later)

I think I'm suffering from marching band withdrawal. Someone call Betty Ford!!

11-19-2001

Humph. Now he wants to borrow my notes for geography because he wasn't in class on Friday. Well, FORGET IT! Whatever. Punk.

Today is official, "Have too much to do" day. I have to write a paper for history which is not going well and lots of archaeology to read, and then there is my kindhearted geography professor who is giving us a test on the day before Thanksgiving. Hmm. I think he and Prince Not So Nice Guy may be in league with each other.

Ooh! On a different note, no band today. Kind of sad, but I have all this time that I just don't know what to do with. I suppose I could do all the homework I'm talking about, but I'd rather draw scary pictures on the computer of squirrels with bellbottoms and platform shoes. A much more productive use of my time.

11-18-2001 (Yet even later)

Beginning to think I've been unofficially stood up for my unofficial date. I don't know whether to be upset about this or to be happy because I don't have to go through the stress of worrying about what to wear.

11-18-2001 (later)

Dern Packers!!

Beginning to think perhaps the date is not going to happen. Prince Nice-Guy has not called. Looks like miracle and sainthood will have to wait.

11-18-2001

Band formal was so much fun. Everybody looked very nice and it's just so funny because we're all used to seeing each other when we look like crap on game days. There was lots of dancing and Thanksgiving-like food which was very yummy, and some roll throwing, and I think the poor bartender was going to have a heart attack. Anyway, it was a very good way to end the season.

At el dinner tableo last nighto: (For those of you who don't habla Espanol... that means, "At the dinner table last night.)
Blake: Hey, I lost my number, can I have yours?
Everybody: Ha ha ha ha ha
...ten minutes later...
Me: Oh! Phone number!
Blake: What?
Me: I was confused, I thought you ment a number like in a deli when you're waiting for your sandwitch.

Huh, the Packer game is not going as well as I would like. I think the problem is that it feels like June outside and it is the middle of November. Where's the snow?! Maybe they should re-name it "The Temperate Tundra" since it hasn't been frozen in a loooong time. Well, there's still a whole half to play, they could turn it around. Maybe next year we'll go march at a Packer game! That would be so cool! (Woohoo!! Interception! Go Packers, go Packers, it's your birthday, ride the donkey...)

Aahhh, back to Nero. His mother killed Emperor Claudius with a poisoned feather. Interesting. Wonder why Claudius wanted to eat a feather.

11-17-2001

Today is the band formal. It should be loads of fun, and I think everyone there will be very drunk except me which is always fairly entertaining. I can't wait to get dressed up and see everybody else. Thank god we don't have to wear those nasty smelly uniforms ever again. Until September.

Uuuggghhh... I have to write a paper on a "problem" in Roman History. I was gong to write it on Roman architecture but when I discovered that the library's two books on the subject were checked out I decided to change my topic to Nero. He was screwy. That's a problem. Maybe I should write it about Hannibal instead. Hmmm...

Cruel, cruel professors making things due right before Thanksgiving... I have to pack up my entire room except maybe my toothbrush, my computer and my bed because I don't want to have to take it all home at Christmas, that would not work very well. Maybe I should keep some clothes around too.

11-16-2001 (much later)

It is 3:27 in the morning (do you know where your proctologist is?). See, I was trying to sleep, and was actually sleeping peacefully having a lovely dream involving me and Prince Charming frolicing happily through the tulips when "intoxicated individual" ran into my door, attempted to knock it down and screamed something like, "Cornhole chicken man has three wives and a leg named Parry Hotter! Al you min ee umm!". (Actually I just made that part up.) Individual proceeded to run away with plastered friends who are in the hallway screaming.

Oh well, that's okay. Just thought I would share because it scared the bejezus out of me. Tomorrow is Saturday and I guess this just means I get to sleep even longer!! Yay!! :)

Did you know that every four seconds a can of spam is opened somewhere in the world? Oh, you've heard that one. Okay, how about... 10% of the Russian government's annual income is from the sale of vodka. Hmm? I'm not sure I understand that. Why is the Russian government selling alcohol? Is it special former communist alcohol or something?

I like cheese.

11-16-2001

Added the "me" page because I know (insert sarcastic tone here) anybody who visits my website is going to want to know who I am. (end sarcasm)

The unthinkable has finally happened. I have performed a miracle. Only two more and I'm up for sainthood.

I think I have a date on Sunday. Wooooo! He's not Tom Cruise or anything, but he's a nice guy. I'm trying to think this will be fun even though really I'm trying to think of a good excuse not to go because I'm actually freaking out. Hmm. I guess I'll think about that if aforementioned party ever calls.

11-15-01

I think dad got my plane ticket today. See, I thought I was done being excited for a while but I guess I was wrong. Excuse me a minute. (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!)

That's better.

11-14-01

I thought I'd try to do some updating of ye olde website yesterday. I don't know how well this is going to work but just pretend that it's working really good, okay? Like, as good as my grammar. It is actually taking forever, but that's alright. We'll see how it goes.

I had a Western lit test today and I think I've had enough essay tests in just this month to last me until... oh... next week.
