I have met and made many friends since I came online in Febuary. As we all know friendship is something to be cherished.I cherish everyone of my friends in a special way. Some of the poems on here were sent to me threw my email.I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
Friendship is a strange thing. We find ourselves telling each other the deepest details of our lives.
Things we don't even share with our families who raised us.But what is a friend?A confidant?A lover?A fellow email junkie?A shoulder to cry on?A ear to listen?A heart to feel?A friend is all these things.
And more.No matter where we meet,I call you friend.A word so small, yet so large in feeling.A word feeled with emotion. It is true that great things come in small packages.Once the package of friendship has been opened,it is a constant book always written, waiting to be read and enjoyed.
We may have our disagreements,we may argue,we may concern one another.Friendship is a unique bond that lasts threw all.A part of me is put into my friends. Some of it is humor, some of it is my listening ear, some of it is real life experience, some of it is romanticism. But with all it is friendship.Friendships forged are a construct
stronger than steelbuilt as a foundation.Necessary for love.
Take a step outside your shell,to drink the secrets of the well.No longer will you fit inside, theres no more need to run and hide. Its easy now to be yourself, and set your fears upon a shelf. To close your eyes for just a thought and reconsider
all you were taught.Wishes made when you were young, captured in the songs you sung.Freed your heart to laugh and play, reminders of a former day.So now you look through open eyes,to ask the hows, the whens, the whys.
To search the world to find your part, and free the dreams within your heart.
I would like to thank my friend JB for the following:"Seek him always with hours to live for it is his to fill your need, but not your emptiness. And in the sweetness of friendship, let there be laughter
and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things, the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.
Friendship
Life is a garden, Good friends are the flowers, and times spent together
life's happiest hours...
And friendship like flowers, blooms ever more fair...
when carefully tended by dear friends who care.
The Angels will Dance
"We can all be angels.. to one another. We can choose to obey the still small stirring within, the little
whisper that says, 'Go. Ask. Reach out. Be an answer to someone's plea. You have a part to play.
Have faith. We can decide to risk that He is indeed there, watching, caring, cherishing us as we love
and accept love. The world will be a better place for it. And wherever they are, the angels will
dance."
MY ONLINE FRIENDS
We have to be leary of our online friends, the reason for this comes from deep within.Throughout our lives from birth to grave, our impressions of others came from how they behave. We can touch them, feel them, see them and hear, the truth of their words through a mulit-sensed ear.We can tell ny their eyes or their language or look,if their words are sincere or out of a book. But online the words we read on the screen,we interpret to say what we want them to mean. Our intermost feelings are brought forth there, from the words that appear on the screen where we stare.Does "I Love You" from them mean the same as for me?Or am I only a game to them and should I then flee? Are they laughing or joking or smirking or worse, while I pour out my heart in short little spurts? And that night on the phone when we spoke those same words, did they hang up and say good God what a nerd?In all other places we choose friends with care, online it is sad we must truly beware. To all of you whom I've poured out my heart, remember be gentle even though far apart.Because I"I Love You" from me comes from deep down inside, where trust and hope and my true feelings hide.No matter the image I show to the rest,My online friends know the real me best. While with you I share my fears and my dreams and pray when we meet I am all that I seem.
YESTERDAY,TODAY AND TOMORROW
There are two days in every week that we should not worry about. Two days that should be kept free from fear and apprehension. One is yesterday.Yesterday with its mistakes and a cares, its aches and pains.Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control. All the money in the world cannot bring yesterday back.We cannot undo a single act we performed.Nor can we erase a single word we said.Yesterday is gone. The other day we shouldn't worry about is tomorrow with all its impossible adversaries, its burdens, its hopeful promise and poor performance.Tomorrow is beyond our control.Tomorrow sun will rise either in slendor or behind a bank of clouds, but it will rise. And until it does we have no stake in tomorrow. For it is yet unborn. This leaves only one day, today.Any person can fight the battles of just one day.It is only when we add the burdens of yesterday and tomorrow that we break down.It is not the experince of today that drives people mad,it is the remorse for something that happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.Let us therefore live one day at a time.
A FRIEND FOREVER
Sometimes in life you find a special friend, someone who changes your life just by being part of it.Someone who makes you laugh until you can't stop.Someone
who makes you believe that there really is good in the world.Someone who convinces you that there really is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it.This is forever freindship.
When you are down and the world seems dark and empty, your forever friend lifts you up in spirit and makes that dark and empty world suddenly seem bright and full.Your forever friend gets you
through the hard times, the sad time, and the confused times. If you turn and walk away your forever friend follows. If you lose your way, your forever friend guides you and cheers you on.
Your forever friend holds your hand and tells you that everything is going to be okay. And if you find such a friend, you feel happy and complete because you need not worry. You have a forever friend for life and forever has no end.
