This is a nice picture of Tom Cruise as Lestat, and Brad Pitt as Louis. They play it very good, I think. Letīs start with Lestat, he is my favorit vampire. Tom Cruise is good, really. His hair is perfect, the nose maybe a little too big for Lestat, but ok, and the eyes, blue and nice. He is a good actor. Just the way he say "Louis, Louis..." when he finds Louis with Claudia the first time. And Brad Pitt, or Louis, is not bad too. Maybe a bit to innocent I think, not like the real Louis. And Brad Pittīs hair, itīs darkbrown in the movie, in the book he has black hair. But the rest is OK with me. And he is also good at his characteer; "What do we seem to you? Beautyful?..." as he is talking to Madeleine, before she becomes a vampire too.
Claudia
And a picture of Kirsten Dunst as the child vampire, Claudia. She is very good, but another thing wrong; in the movie, she is 10 or 11 years old, when she becomes a vampire. Well, in the book, she is 5 or 6 years old, much younger. But beautyful in the movie still. The perfect hair, and eyes. She is pretty, and I do understand why she was chosen. Her and Brad Pitt makes a good couple... "You fet on me?" she ask, as Louis shows her, where he first found her. Very good playing, as Claudia.
Armand
And last, Antonio Banderas as the young Armand. Only one thing is wrong; Armand in the movie - a grown-up person. Armand in the book - still a teenager, 16 or 17 years maybe. But this is the only thing. Everything else is fine with me. His hair - couldnīt be more perfect, and so the eyes and the nose. Though he is from Spain, he makes a good greek person, or where he is from in the book.
Interview with a vampire - my opinion.
This is my opinion about the movie, Interview With The Vampire... and things about the book also. I began to love vampires because of the movie, Iīve told that before. There are a lot of things wrong in the movie, and I donīt understand why they changed those things from the book. One thing, Louis say in the beginning of the movie, is that he was very sad because his wife and child were dead. Well, why couldnīt he just say, that his brother was dead, like in the book? And another a bit stupid thing, itīs not important, but stupid; in the book Claudia is wearing a yellow dress when they kill her in Theatre des Vampires; well, in the movie she is wearing a blue dress, and it burns like the rest of her, while in the book the dress remain... why make these changes? But I love the movie very much, one of the best moives Iīve ever seen, it changed my look at the world.
The next movie is Queen of the Damned, and I was chocked when I had seen it. How more wrong could it be? Iīve got picīs of the actors in characteers again, now let me explain what I think;
Lestat
I think Tom Cruise was much better as Lestat than Stuart Townsend is. Yes, I admit it, Stuart can be just as seductive as Lestat as Tom Cruise could, but after youīve seen IWAW 10-20 times it just seems wrong with another actor in that role. The largest mistake about him is the size... Lestat to me is not a small man.
Jesse
In the book, Jesse has got RED HAIR! In the movie itīs too dark, more brown-like. And sheīs not as young as in the book, thatīs wrong too. If I could have chosen, it would not be Marguerite Moreau playing that part. Just too bad they already used Kirsten Dunst for Claudia in the other movie, she would have been much better as Jesse.
Akasha
Now this is hard. Not to offend any Aaliyah-fans out there now sheīs not with us anymore. But she was a fine Akasha, one of the best parts in the movie I think. She was just as beautiful and cruel as she should be.
Marius
Vincent Perez is not the Marius I picture in the book. To me, Marius is larger and has got long hair... but in the movie heīs almost a skinny man with short hair. He wasnīt right.
Armand
Good, so this time they got the age right for Armand, not like in the first movie when he was far too old. Armand with blonde hair? No, I donīt think so. They could at least have dyed it a bit. Matthew Newton is just not the type I would want for Armand. They should make Antonio Banderas 20 years younger in both movies I think...
Queen of the Damned - my opinion
They missed out so many parts of this movie! Where is the old story about Maharat and Mekare, and most of all - where is Mekare? Iīd like to know that. The most important person in the book, the one who destroys Akasha, and sheīs left out in the movie? Nooo! And whereīs Louis? I just didnīt get it in this movie. I think too many people and things from the book are missing. More than in the first movie...
