The Coffman/Kauffman Family

Jacob Coffman (d. 1796)

The Coffmans have been a confusing group, so any help/hint or clue would be appreciated. Many thanks to David Mark Barnhart who has helped me piece the Coffman family together! There is also a book by Charles Fahs Kauffman, "Kauffman-Coffman Lineages" which was published in 1940, that has lots of Coffman lines.

There is another Jacob Coffman (1749-Linville, Rockingham Co, VA) m. 1767, Anna Maria ____. The children listed for this couple are the same as those listed for the Jacob above. WAAAY too many Jacobs and Martins in this family!

This second Martin was a minister in the Baptist Church. His family is listed below as The Other Martin Coffman.
