the omen of 413
okay, so starting in 8th grade, i believe, the number 413 started haunting me. by haunting, i mean showing up everywhere-- when i looked at my clock, it'd be 4:13 instead of 4:14 or 4:12. it would be in math problems. even someone i talked to had 4-13 as their birthday.
so after awhile of this, (i started noticing this maybe in late may) it really got to me. so one day, me and meg were playing 'round with my ouiji board, and we asked some questions. what we found rather interesting was that i was supposed to die when i was twenty-nine.
so when we found this out, we had to ask a few more questions. we asked what day, (the logical first question) and it said 4-13. this freaked me out, cuz i didn't remember telling meg about the 4-13 following me around. so we asked who, and it said Howard.
What basically followed was this:
When i am eighteen, i'm gonna meet some guy named Howard, fall in love with him, and marry him when i'm nineteen, on April 13. (4-13) i'm gonna be a nurse, have one son named Peter. i'm also going to have an affair with a friend of Howard and mine. (either Tim or Tom; they're supposed to be identical twins.) anyways, Howard finds out and, to say the least, he's rather pissed. so he kills me; on our 10th wedding anniversary. (again, 4-13, when i'm 29) apparently we'll be at the beach, for the means of my death (and this was quite hazy) is to either drowning or a shark attack. i believe that i was to be thrown into the ocean and bit by a shark, and then drown.
okay, so i "found" this out, and made all my friends promise to not let me marry a guy named Howard, or more specifically, not get married on 4-13. at this point of time, i was freaked about forgetting and then it actually happening. (i don't really believe in the Ouiji, it just spooks me; and with my luck, i wouldn't believe it and it'd come out true. so better safe than sorry, i say.) but now that i'm getting closer in age to nineteen, i doubt that i'll forget.
so i get this from the Ouiji, and you'd think that the 4-13 would stop "following" me around, right? no. if anything, it started showing up more and more. i still see it every now and then on my watch/clock, i see it in math problems, and just this year, my teacher's "teaching code" (his id number for these tests that we take and then compare them at the end, and get sent to some national thing) is (you guessed it) 413. sigh. i s'pose i'm just cursed to have it follow me around for the next however many years. although, i have to admit, some of it (like my hotmail addy) are chosen by me. it's kinda morphed into my all-purpose number (most people use their birthdays, right? well, mine's 3-7, and those are like, *the* most chosen lucky numbers. so i adopted 413.)
