Comments: I was very touched by this website and am very sorry to hear of Rocky's passing. I had a boxer named Schane(6/87-9/96) who was and still is as dear to me and my family as Rocky was and is to yours!! It's not easy losing our sweethearts, but I stand firm on the belief that they are in Heaven laying on a soft fluffy pillow next to God's almighty throne (not to mention chasing squirrels!). Comments: Your Boxer Rocky is a gorgeous doggie!! My husband & I have also adopted a tramatized dog. Our puppy had the unfortunate experience of having her previous owner pass away. The grandchildren found our Annie and their grandfather several days after his passing. She was very thin and dejected when we first met her at the shelter, but since has more than adjusted and is a happy and loving doggy. We named her Annie because we adopted her for our third wedding anniversary. She looks very much like your Rocky without the pointy ears. She's half Boxer & half Rodesian Ridgeback according to the Vet. I feel so much for your loss of a year ago. I hope you feel some comfort in the fact that so many dog lovers are able to see and appreciate your beautiful puupy!! I look into his face and truly see my Annie. Comments: I am so sorry for your loss. I have a boxer (named Rocky) that looks exactly like yours. My Rocky will be 7 on 4/26. He is very ill and we don't expect him to live much longer. He has been the best friend that my husband and I have ever had. He has lived a life of a king because we do not have children at home and he became our child. Our neighbors love him as we do and he will be missed by all.

Comments: I know the feeling you had for your boxer, they are a great dog. I have my Jake and he is a wonderful dog and I am so lucky to have him in my life. He is my best friend and a wonderful companion. I have been lucky with him, he is 11 years old and still very healthy, My first boxer Kipper a great dog died young of cancer, so I treasury everyday I have with Jake. Comments: I am sorry for your loss. As a boxer owner, I am walking along that same road. Otis is now approaching 10 and he is currently experiencing trouble with his rear left leg. After an MRI, doctors say his is coming down w/ a type of M.S.. As troubling as it is for me and him his spirits are high each and everyday and we make the most out of every day. Long live the boxer pride.

Comments: I started to cry at the end of the family photos when I realized that your Rocky passed away. He is similar in looks to our family's Rocky who lives with my brother in law only more handsome. Our Rocky likes to live with different family members and loves the car! Everyone in the family takes turns having him "stay over" for days or weeks at a time and he loves it! Our Rocky is gettin on in years and is going to be a daddy in about 10 days with my female "Mocha". Most of the puppies are already claimed by the family and close friends. These two boxers are so in love - I can't wait to see them together with the puppies when he comes to visit. Thank you for creating such a wonderful website!!!

Comments: We had a Rocky of our own.. The most beautiful boxer we ever saw, he was fawn like yours, with a black mask and a white chest, his ears stood up just like any good boxers ears do! His brother Max was our best friends and neighbor's dog.. A better family dog we could have never found. With our three kids he was the most gentlest, but a determined protector, unfortunatelly he developed a thyroid condition, and suffered several bouts of heat exaustion for several years before he passed away. He has always been deeply missed and has been gone for over fifteen years. We have never been able to contemplate another dog, and I have missed him deeply. Thank you for the opportunity to express our love of this beautiful dog known as ROCKY HANIFORD.....

Comments: I know to well your feelings for Rocky. I lost my Duke Oct 27, 1998. Duke was a black Mask Fawn Boxer. He was 11 years old when he died. Duke was my best friend. He was my buddy. The years of joy this wonderful child gave us can never be forgotten. My family thinks and talk about Duke every single day. And while he is not here physically, he will always be in our hearts as I know your Rcoky will too. When we look through our photo albums, Duke found a way to be in every single picture. When our daughter had a slumber party on her 16th birthday, yep, Duke was right in the middle of it. We have a new Boxer now. His name is Raider. He, like Duke is a Fawn. And while his temperment is so close to Duke, Raider is Raider. He is only 18 months old and as you remember a handful right now. I will never have any other type of dog other that a Boxer. They are absolutely wonderful animals. They will give you loyal and unconditional love. And all they ask for in return is food, water and shelter. We miss Duke! I know you do Rocky too. Rodney

Comments: My rescued boy is also Rocky.(His rescued sis is Kirby)I think the world of my Rocky.He has been with me for 8 years.I too have had close calls with my boy.We have had thyroid cancer and 2 heart attacks and arthritis.He still is happy everyday.Even with about 12 pills to take daily.I do not know a better buddy.He has kept me through a lot.My wife joined us three years ago and Rocky welcomed her with open arms.Really unselfish huh!I wish he could be around forever.Unfortunately, his health is diminshing and we think he has cancer again.I don't think we can be unfair.I only want him to be comfortable and happy. Comments: we had a woderful boxer named Tasha. I would haul pigs to market and she would love to ride along with her ears flopping in the breeze out the truck window. Whenever I would hook up the livestock trailer to the truck she would prance and dance until I let her hop into the cab of the truck. She passed away in the spring of 1999.

Me and my husband got him at 6 weeks old and fell instantly in love with him. Comments: To Rocky's Parents, I know the loss you have suffered. In April of 1998 our Boxer Seargent passed away. He was faithful loyal friend, and we will miss him for the rest of lives. I broke my leg in February of that year and Sarge kept me company while I was home with my leg in a cast. After he died, I felt so alone without him. My husband decided we should get another boxer. We named him Vegas because we won $4,000.00 and used some of it to buy him. He was a real terror at first, but now that he's almost 2 years old he is settling down. Thanks for a chance to meet Rocky. He was a real handsome boy. Vegas will never take the place of Sarge, but boxers are such wonderful companions I think you should always have one around. Take care, Diane.

Comments: My husband and I have 2 wonderful Boxers (3 counting our cat who thinks she's one too). Mugley is our oldest (6yrs). We got her when she was 1yr. She was abused (punched & kicked). She was on her way to be put to sleep. A friend told us about her. She was very aggressive. We took her to school (basically to teach us). We had a great teacher. She looks very much like Rocky, but smaller. She is the biggest baby now. We just rescued another Boxer - Archie. He also looks close to Rocky (a little more red). He was neglected and taken away from his home. He came from the Boxer Rescue. He was 15lbs under weight, but now is pretty solid. I am very sorry about your loss. He is a beautiful dog. I love the pictures. If he is anything like our kids, I think they know they were given a second chance and give back so much. Do his sisters miss him?

I got one and named him rocky! unfortunately, he was sick as a puppy and died weeks after I got him. My heart was broken, but I got another dog shortly after rocky died. Until you have one you dont understand the loyalty they have for their parent. She knew my mood at all times. I loved that dog as much as I love my children,we had a history before children and even when they came along she loved and accepted them. Now two years later I am finally starting to think maybe its time for onther wonderful friend for myself and my kids,and would think of nothing other than a boxer. I have never been a dog person I have always liked cats until my husbands dog had to be put down because of old age and failing health. Well to fill the whole in his heart which at that time I couldnt understand he had to have another dog he wanted a boxer! Well that little squirrley thing just wormed his way into my heart so about six months later came who else but Adrienne I don't think I could of ever imagined how much joy the two characters have brought to my life I take more pictures of them than I do of my own kids. Comments: Just thought I`d let you know how great it is to hear of other people who have had their lives enriched by this great companion /friend. I first met a boxer when I was about 9yrs old, & never saw another one for 12 yrs until I moved out West to Sask. I actually drove 4 1/2 hrs in bad weather to pick up Asya, I never even had a permanent res. at that time (I stayed at friends ). As I was starting out fresh in a new place Asya quickly became my best friend.She had one litter of pups, I kept one of her sons & a daughter (Rugher/Amber). Rugher was a beautiful flashy male whose life ended too soon (accident). Asya stayed with me for 13 yrs until she passed away last Jan. We still have her daughter Amber who is so like her mother , she is now going on 12 yrs old. I know how easy it is to create a strong bond with these amazing animals. I`m glad someone elses life was made better by these great friends.

Comments: I too had a best friend named Rocky. One day during the prime of Rocky's short life he started having severe siezures. Five days later I had to do what was best for him and end his suffering. That was over five years ago. I cried like a baby for days afterward, just as I am now as try to type this note. I now have a new boxer named Ginger whom is special in her own way. However, I can't imagine ever being able to replace Rocky in my heart. Comments: I have to say that I was very touched by your web site. I,as well, had a very wonderful and loyal friend, Sugar Ray. She was also a Boxer full of so much love. We lost her a couple of years ago to old age. We have raised many Boxers and English Bulls. We now have her grand-daughter who goes by "Gertie", she is just as wonderful as she was. We have recently purchased a male Boxer (Moses) which seems to be marked very much the same as your Rocky. By the way, I gave my Dad a Boxer pup years ago which also went by the name of Rocky. Comments: I came across "Brody" and "Rocky's" pictures by just typing in "Boxer" on the YAHOO search engine, and they are "GORGEOUS" pictures! I never really thought twice about the boxer until I moved in with an ex-boyfriend back in 1992. He wanted to buy a boxer because he thought they were a powerful dog and they were beautiful to look at, so we bought "Lexus." She was about 7wks when we got her, and I fell in Love with her immediately! She was a fawn, and hadn't had her ears cropped yet. My ex-boyfriend would leave for work in the morning and tell me as he was going out the door, "And don't let Lexus in our bed!" But of course the minute he left, there she was, whinning to get on the bed with me. I had to let her up because those big brown eyes won me over everytime. :-) We had her about three weeks when the vet tested her for roundworm, and she was positive. We couldn't keep her, so we ended up giving her away. It broke my heart, but I have confidence that she went to a good home. I swore one day when I was more stable that I would own a boxer again. But in the meantime, I'll just admire these beautiful dogs on your website. My favorite is the fawn. Thank you for taking the time and effort to share your photos with us.
