Comments: I too had a best friend named Rocky. One day during the prime of Rocky's short life he started having severe siezures. Five days later I had to do what was best for him and end his suffering. That was over five years ago. I cried like a baby for days afterward, just as I am now as try to type this note. I now have a new boxer named Ginger whom is special in her own way. However, I can't imagine ever being able to replace Rocky in my heart. Thank you for giving me the opportuntity to express my feelings.

Comments: I have to say that I was very touched by your web site. I,as well, had a very wonderful and loyal friend, Sugar Ray. She was also a Boxer full of so much love. We lost her a couple of years ago to old age. We have raised many Boxers and English Bulls. We now have her grand-daughter who goes by "Gertie", she is just as wonderful as she was. We have recently purchased a male Boxer (Moses) which seems to be marked very much the same as your Rocky. By the way, I gave my Dad a Boxer pup years ago which also went by the name of Rocky. Both of them, who were best buddies are once again enjoying each other in Heaven. It is amazing how these wonderful gifts from God can bring so much joy into our lives. Comments: I came across "Brody" and "Rocky's" pictures by just typing in "Boxer" on the YAHOO search engine, and they are "GORGEOUS" pictures! I never really thought twice about the boxer until I moved in with an ex-boyfriend back in 1992. He wanted to buy a boxer because he thought they were a powerful dog and they were beautiful to look at, so we bought "Lexus." She was about 7wks when we got her, and I fell in Love with her immediately! She was a fawn, and hadn't had her ears cropped yet. My ex-boyfriend would leave for work in the morning and tell me as he was going out the door, "And don't let Lexus in our bed!" But of course the minute he left, there she was, whinning to get on the bed with me. I had to let her up because those big brown eyes won me over everytime. :-) We had her about three weeks when the vet tested her for roundworm, and she was positive. We couldn't keep her, so we ended up giving her away. It broke my heart, but I have confidence that she went to a good home. I swore one day when I was more stable that I would own a boxer again. But in the meantime, I'll just admire these beautiful dogs on your website. My favorite is the fawn. Thank you for taking the time and effort to share your photos with us. Comments: I was viewing the AKC Boxer site and found other sites (yours included) to view. About five months ago I had to have my 13 plus year old Boxer, Chrissy put to sleep because of rapidly failing health. She has been such a wonderful friend and companion to me over the years, especially after my divorce. I am in the process of adopting an 18 month old female Boxer from the animal shelter. She is such a cutie and wiggly just like Chrissy. I saw a horible story with picture in the local newspaper about the animal shelter picking up a 2 yr old male Boxer with his throat slashed and he was to be sent to the animal shelter when he recovered fom surgery. I called about adopting him and they said he would be in hospital for some time because of his wound but they had a female that they picked up about three weeks ago. I went to see her and will pick her up after she is spayed/neutered. I am so anxious to get her home to give her the love she deserves. Boxers are such wonderful friends, so loving and so smart. I relly enjoyed visiting your website. Judith

Comments: I was looking into getting a Boxer puppy, and after seeing pictures of your "Rocky" made me fall in love with the breed all over again!!! I feel your pain, but the memory and the love that Rocky left in your heart stays forever!! I can imagine how hard it was to let him go. I used to have a Male boxer named Tyson. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep him because he kept jumping the fence and scaring the neighbor's kids. My neighbor was not a dog lover and threatened to file a complaint. I ended up having to sell him to a retired military man who owned a ranch. I miss my Tyson. Hopefully, I will be blessed with another boxer that will bring me as much joy as Tyson did. I now have a new house with a much bigger yard and I feel that I can keep my boxer happy with lots of running space. Thank you so much for sharing pictures of Rocky. Comments: Hello Rocky's family. I have had 3 boxers in my lifetime so far. Taffy #1, Taffy #2, and Spiker. I wish I could figure out how to use my scanner, I would send you a picture of our boxers. There is no other dog like a boxer. Spiker passed away on Novemeber 19, 1986. We were with him as he passed. I wouldn't dream of not staying with him, but it was one of the hardest things we (my parents & I) have ever done. I figured that when I got married, I could have another one. My husband unfortuneatly doesn't share my love of the breed, so I am without a boxer and my parents are too old now to start a new 10 years of boxer antics and joy. Comments: My family has always owned boxers. Our first boxer name was Sheba. She had my puppies. I was only five at the time and we were living Calif. Because of our move to Alaska my parents gave her to there friends. We then got a boxer when I was only in fourth grade. His name was Thor and my Dad love him. I am now 23 years old and he made the trip down from Alaska but past away only a year ago. He lived a long life and was a good gog. Toby, my mothers faviorte boxer only lived six years. He was also abused as a puppy. He was a brendal and a very loving dog. I cried so hard when he died. My mother now has a boxer name Bo Bo and he is five years old. He is a very well behaved dog. He is a old style engish breed. His chops hang very low. Rowdy had the face of my Dad's dog Thor, but Tobys body. I cried when I seen his pictures. Anyway, my husband and I now own a boxer of our own, however he looks different then any boxer I've seen. I have his papers, so I know he is a purebreed but his chops don't hang as low. It could be because his ears aren't docked. Anyway he is nine months old and is as wild as can be. I took him in at seven months. He spent his first three months of his life in a kenal. I love him so much but he does not mind and runs away. He is very loving. If you have any advice please help us. I found your page because I was looking on how to train him. I will quit rambling and finish by telling you your page touched me and made me relize how much I love my dog Buddie. Thank You, Kerrie

I got him for her just one year ago from a rescue in Los Angeles and in that short time them became best of friends. I've had to arrange my house so they can't get to each other. They each have half of the house. One sleeps with me, the other with my daughter. Comments: My former roomate has abandoned his boxer "ROCKY" at my house. Rocky is 1 year old and I love him to death. Unfortunately, I work as a team manager on an Indycar team and travel too much to keep him. He has a great disposition and very docile. I realize I can get a $ 100 or more for him but I do not want any money I just want to see him go to someone who will give him as much lve and hapiness as he has given me. Coincidentily, I once owned a Boston Terrier "Chopper" and when he died it hurt my parents so bad they got another one "Chopper #2" :) He has a buddy in their border collie and to see them play is quite entertaining. I live for the day when I can settle down and get a Boxer and Boston Terrier. Please contact me if you know of anyone who might like to have "Rocky". I hate to be selfish but I am hoping somene who lives close to me will give him a good home. I really enjoyed your site I'm sure you have some great memories. Thanx, Troy

Comments: I want boodog, I love boston terriers, can't afford to buy one but if you ever hear of one thats a give away or in a shelter let me know. Kevin would only be upset for a little while, because we have a cat. But I think if I got a puppy they would learn to love one another. Don't you agree??? I have alway wanted a boston terrier. When I was a little girl and my family all lived together we had a boxer, her name was Girl. It was the only name she would come by. We lost her to a car accident. Man I loved that boxer. She was very big. I think thats why I like the boston terrier because they are kinda like a boxer but only smaller. We should get together sometime and do something. Let us know. Well take care.
