Whether J.R. Coles or Linus Haun have any musical background has yet
to be determined. What has been determined is their shared musical instinct. Busrider, with drummer Enrique, are a powerful trio that defies classification. Their intoxicated vocal melodies backed by progressive pop rhythms produce a driving, emotional, wall of sound. Linus and J.R.'s thick layers of clean and distorted guitars, mixes with Enrique's stealth bomber apporach to drumming, creating an inspirational live show. Both fans and press praise Busrider's energy, sincerity and sense of fun. Busrider's music is often set off by serious edgy lyrics. The bands signature tune, meat was inspired after the bands first drummer Steven Cordero was nearly killed by spinal meningitis. Other songs explore the vagaires of life and love, but always with a sense of hope. They weave intelligent lyrics with a mass of styles and tempos to create the richly textured, multi-layered sonic fabric that has become their trademark. Enrique Estrada boasts a progressive rock influence, while the bassist, Linus and guitarist, J.R., have roots in noise and pop. All are seasoned musicians with extensive touring and recording with other bands.
