HISTORY

El Conquistadore was originally a 3-piece HC/punk/thrash/power-violence band from Windsor Ontario, the asshole of Canada.

The original 3 members were:

Unfortunately El Conquistadore was a very short-lived band, lasting only a few months. They only played live 3 times. Their first gig was live on The Phencycledine Show on CJAM 91.5FM Windsor/Detroit. Not only was this their first show, they were also the first band to perform live on Phencycledine airwaves. El Conquistadore's second show was at a party in a garage in La Salle. Some argue it wasn't really a show but El Conquistadore performed nonetheless.

In September 1998, at The Acapulco Delight, El Conquistadore played their last show. Other bands that played that night included The Posers, Hardtime, and Equation of State. As usual, the members of El Conquistadore were baked, had little or no stage presence, and of course, no real lyrics.

Shortly after that, Guitarist/Vocalist Rob Donaldson took off to live in a squat in Montreal, and the band split up. The only evidence of their existence are a few scarce karaoke-recorded demos and a "Live on The Phencycledine Show" cassette.
