Our Wedding & Renewal Plans
Well since Bryan and I got married, I have been sort of up in the clouds
(in other words I'm very happy) and busy planning our renewal ceremony. As for how he
proposed well.....it was at his graduation (from Air Force basic training)
and we had been apart for about two months. After church on Sunday morning he
pulled me toward the front of the chapel got down on one knee, slid the ring on my finger and asked
me to marry him. He had me in tears of happiness and a smile that hasn't
completely left yet. I was so shocked that he had time to plan everything and get a ring. I had been
dreaming about this day for a while but he completely caught me off guard.
Here is a picture of my ring....isn't it beautiful.
As far as the wedding goes, we had a JP marry us on July 31, 1999 due to Air
Force processing and stipulations but we both still want a church wedding. We have
decided to have the ceremony possibly at Randolph AFB Chapel in San Antonio, TX or at our home church here, First Baptist in Abilene, TX.
We will have a true military wedding with Bryan in his mess dress and the Honor
Guard pulling "sabers" (swords) at the close of the ceremony.
Here is a picture of the chapel at Randolph.
We are planning for the ceremony on our 3rd anniversary. Our colors will be navy, red, silver and white and our flowers
will be roses. It won't be a very large wedding but we will have all of our siblings
involved and maybe even a few others. Last update August 4, 2000.
Here are some of our wedding pictures.
