If you like time travel love stories you will love this one. Diana starts off in eighteenth-century London where people are stuffy and there are so many don'ts for a young woman like Diana that she feels suffocated. She decides to sneak out from under her snobby aunt's nose one day and take a look in an antique shop. Here she finds a helmet from Rome her favorite time in history. She can't help herself she has to try it on. From that moment on, Diana finds herself in Rome. She is caught by a mighty Roman Soldier that believes she is a spy. She agrees (well kinda sorta this part you have to read your self) that she will be his slave and behave as a slave should. What surprised me about Diana is her total acceptance of being thrown back in time. She doesn't seem to amazed by the whole thing,I mean would you be? After time Diana falls in love with her Roman, and he with her but there are many differences between the two and both have to learn to accept these differences if the relationship is going to work. And then to tip it all off, Diana is thrown back to her time! Now what will they do?
