About ten years ago, the sherrif of Morris County, a small town in Kansas, rents a videocamera and VCR. Together with his wife he makes an erotic tape of an hour and a half. Accidentally, the sherrif leaves the tape in the player when he returns it to the video store. The next person to rent the player discovers what is on the tape and makes copies of it. The tape is quickly circulated and duplicated until almost all 700 households in town have a copy.
