Mara's Jade history is sketchy at the best. Probably kidnapped by the Empire at a very young age she was trained to be the Emperor's right hadn and personal assassin from befoe she can remember. She traveled around the galaxy- performing his orders, she could hear his commands through the Force. But after Endor her life changed dramatically- having no purpose she drifted from one job to another keeping the Emperor's last message "you will kill Luke Skywalker" locked in her brain. She met Talon Kaarde and agreed to work for him. She was happy until one day they picked up a lone X-Wing that happened to be carrying Luke Skywalker. Fighting with herself- she didn't kill him and helped him defeat the evil Jedi Master Clone Joruus C'Boath- during that battle she killed Luke's clone. Afterwards he gave her his father's lightsaber. She worked for the Smuggler's Alliance for a few years- occasionally dropping by Yavin 4 to train her Jedi skills and see Luke. She helped with many missions, proving invaluable. On a mission looking for the Hand of Thrawn Luke and her worked together on a planet on the edges of the Outer Rim- where they found the HAnd of Thrawn along with a cloned Thrawn. They managed to destroy it but when locked in a flooding chamber Luks propsed to her- and she accepted. LAter- when Luks saw hwer in what he thought was death he was able to wake her from a Jedi trance by telling her he loved her. They are to be married.
