The Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace Trailers!

I've seen both the Star Wars trailers- and I just HAVE to express my excitement and approval.

Number One

• Though it is mostly introducing the prescence of Anakin Skywalker and Obi Wan Kenobi- it is a rockin' trailer! Full of excitement and action it promised us all a great movie. A m personally counting down to May 21st- right along with the rest of the country and world.
• I love the young Anakin Skywalker- and Ewan MacGregor as Obi Wan Kenobi. The two of them, paired with Liam Neeson (who I loved in Les Miserables) AND Natalie Portman will make an incredible team. The next Luke, Leia, Han and Lando perhaps- though no one could replace those figures in our hearts or history.
• The effects, as walways look rea- that new species looks especially cool ( thouhg you can't compare them to a walking carpet, try as you might) Double sided lightsaber? I'm in. New vilians, I can hear the Oscars calling.

Number Two

• After seeing this preview right after the one for 'Never Been Kissed'... words don't compare. I actually saw it for the first time on the Rosie O'Donnell show who seems to have teamed up with Lucasfilm- watch her show during the month of May....
• This one had even more Padme and the entire plot- again, it looks fab. I shrieked when she hugged Anakin- though that is the hopeless romantic in me. her makeup looks... interesting for one thing. In this film, Palapatine is the NICE guy! *g*
• More amazing effects- mega lightsaber battles, a cute hero. It has the combination that made Star Wars a hit, that's NOT in dispute. Now my parents just have to keep me clam until I see it. I will be spending tons of money on this movie.
