Caldonna looked back to Gabrielle.
"No. He was the punisher. He punishes the ones that go to Hades. He is also sent to do this to me if someone chooses to go back."
Gabrielle helped Caldonna wipe her face as Xena walked over to examine the rest of the wounds.
"It's a test. Sometimes people change their mind if they see what could happen f they are sent to Hades. Like I said. I hate it when people ask the question if they can go back."
Caldonna limped over to a log and slowly sank to the ground. She looked up as she laid her head down on the log.
"I just need a few hours of sleep. Then we can begin."
With that she closed her eyes. As morning began to set in Caldonna opened her eyes. She moved a little and was stiff. Very stiff. She looked around and saw that Gabrielle was snoring softly and look over to the river and Xena was standing ankle deep in the water. She slowly got to her feet and walked over to Xena.
"This isn't going to be easy is it?"
Caldonna looked to Xena.
"No. But anything with while is never easy is it?"
Xena nodded her head. She turned and walked over to Gabrielle. Xena bent down and shook Gabrielle out of slumber. Gabrielle sat up quickly.
"Now what? What do we do?"
Caldoona took a moment and then began to explain what needed to be done.
