"So, now what?"
Caldonna slowly stood up and brushed herself off.
"We cross the river. You and Gabrielle stand in front of the judge. He hands down the sentance. Whatever it is to be. You ask for the challange. He hands it down. You say you have champions. Ephiny and Bryer stand forward. You choose to accept or not. Then we will be taken to the ring. My job is to make sure Xena and Gabrielle do not interfer. When all is done I bring everyone back to the judge and depending on what happens he will judge."
Gabrielle swallowed hard. Xena turned to Ephiny and Bryer. Before she could say anything they both waved her off.
"We're doing this Xena. You and Gabrielle belong back there. There is still so much to do."
Bryer stood in front of Xena and took her hands.
"I am doing this for you and Gabrielle. You both gave me so much. You both are in my heart. I know I know, I'm not alive in the known sense. I will be in your hearts, forever."
Gabrielle wiped away the tears and all the women moved towards the boat.
