FLORIDA STATE PRISON
MURDER JULY 17, 1999  -  TRIAL JULY 16, 2001

I have the following names of the murderers of Frank Valdes: 

CAPTAIN TIMOTHY THORNTON

SARGEANT CHARLES BROWN

SARGEANT JASON GRIFFIS

SARGEANT ROBERT SAULS

 

and here's a picture of the accused

 

Another is Sgt. Montrez Lucas, and here's a photo of him being arrested:

 

 Lucas is the one that broke Frank Valdes' jaw the day before.  He recently had charges dismissed.  So much for justice.

 

NOTE that NONE of them are "mere" CO's, but at least "middle management".

 

Then there are the three probationary guards who were fired because of it,
but I'm not sure if they're among the charged or not. 
Their names are: 

Rebecca Bennett, 24,

David Vallish, 40, 

Manuel Rosado, 31.

I assume they're all named somewhere in there, but I just don't have time to dig through all of it to find the names.  And, as I said, I'm not positive the three fired employees are among those charged -- no time to read all the reports :-)  YOU know how that goes...

I really hope we can effect justice in this case!  If they don't move the trial it will be a farce, as we well know, and if we don't make them answer for their crimes, no one is going to.
