I Wanted To Get You A Daffodil
I wanted to get you a daffodil
To make you laugh and smile
But seeing as how it's winter
Daffodils have been gone awhile
I wanted to get you a daffodil
To brighten up your day
Yellow makes everything brighter
That's what I always say
I wanted to get you a daffodil
To see your eyes sparkle and shine
But since they're out of season
I guess a rose will be just fine
I couldn't get you a daffodil
To show you that I care
So please accept this poem
