Shielded Rose

A heart, a rose, a satin shield
delicate petals to rebuild
Beyond the gates tears of pain
for now only thorns remain
Nourished slowly from within
satin petals shall bloom again
Unfolding one by one her
sultry petals taste the sun
Chancing the tears of thorns
her satin petals grasp the warmth
Wrapping tightly to the bliss
her satin petals glow of mist
A heart, a rose, a satin shield
blooming in the summer fields
