Titanic was realeased in December. Since then it has made *HUGE* amounts of money. It is the first movie to have reached such large profits since "Jurassic Park". It is the biggest movie Hollywood has ever seen. Titanic is an amazing love story that touches everyones heart. It is about a young woman from first class named Rose who finds comfort from her life with a talented artist from third class named Jack. Their only problems are Rose is already engaged to Cal Hockley, a stuck up American, and Titanic hits an iceberg!

Before Leonardo DiCaprio was chosen to play the role of Jack Dawson, Mattew McConaughey and Chris O'Donnell were considered.
Kate Winslet sent Jame's Cameron a rose with a card saying "From your Rose". She got the part over Gwenyth Paltrow, Claire Danes and Gabrielle Anwar.
Leo questioned James Cameron about the script.
Contrary to the rumours, Leo and Kate and James got along very well.
Leonardo hated being wet all of the time.
The charachter Rose is named after Cameron's grandmother Rose Cameron.
Titanic gave Leo his first million dollar-plus pay check.
Kate Winslet got her long coat stuck and was briefly trapped underwater until she removed the coat.
None of the cast or crew drowned but 3 stuntmen broke bones.
In Nova Scotia 50 cast and crew members got food poisoning after eating some bad lobster chowder. It turned out that someone had laced the chowder with PCP.
James Cameron filmed dangerous scences in the water himself, wearing a wetsuit and crash helmet.
Leo studied his Dad's laid-back attitude to help him develop Jack's emotional core.

10. Jack teaches Rose to "spit like a man."
9. A tuxedoed Jack kisses Rose's hand with enough passion to melt an iceberg.
8. Jack and Rose lock lips for the first time on the bow of Titanic. With that golden sunset, the rushing waves, and the swooning music, we were flying too.
7. Jack's blue eyes fill the screen as he draws his beloved's portrait. (In fact, those eyes are what the elderly Rose recals first when she begins her tale.)
