O! SNK keeps up with it’s old “beat up your family” tradition when they implement Shizumaru into Samurai Shodown 3. Why? You’ll find out...
Shizumaru is a VERY young dude who has trained with good ol’ Haohmaru. His mother was killed and his father... well, you’ll find out. he has the ol’ ability to sense evil and he also has a high sense of justice. After lots of training with Haoh- he decides to kill the evil thug-man person that slayed all the people of his village.
So now you know why he has Haohmaru-ish moves. What I don’t know is why when he does his downpour thrust, he throws his umbrella up in the air (it looks neat, but you have to wait for it to return...). yes, that’s right. Along with his trusty sword, he’ll hit ya with an umbrella (he’s got more attacks with it that with his sword), maybe because deep down, he’s just a nice guy.
A nice guy with amnesia, as he can’t remember much o’ his past. Meaning that he doesn’t know that the dude he’s after is the one that slayed his town and all... why wasn’t Mr. Maru killed??? Well.... the guy who went insane and destroyed the village is the boss of Samurai Shodown 3 & 4! Zankuro! And he didn’t kill Shizu because...
