Me And The Osmonds

Me And The Osmonds!

Being an Osmond fan since 1970, I had never been lucky enough to see any of The Osmonds in concert. The first time I ever saw an Osmond was back in 1987. It was Marie! She was performing at Hunters Mountain in NY. She was great of course. My sister Lisa came with me. After her show I must have bought one of everything that they had for sale on her. I was hopeing to get her autograph and or a picture of us with her, but she didn't come out to sign or greet her fans. Bummer. I saw her again later that year when she came to Bristol CT at Lake Compounce. Again I wasn't lucky enough to get her autograph. But I did see her perform and I was very greatful for that. I saw her again in the the early 90's at The Big E in Mass. I thought I'd get her autograph there, but she was only signing for those who had her dolls. Was I disappointed or what. In 1990 it was Donny! I was so excited. Our local radio station was haveing a radio party with celebrities and one of them, to my delight was Donny! I was so excited I couldn't believe it. Well I went and saw Donny. He looked excellent of course. I was a bit disappointed because he didn't want to sing. He came out to talk with the DJ's, but didn't want to sing. Finally they got him to sing one song. And that song was Sacred Emotion. After knowing and reading what Donny was going through back then with his Social Phobia, I now undertand why he didn't want to sing. Another disappointment for me that night was that the batteries in my camera had died. I still tried taking some pictures, luckily a couple did come out. They are dark, but they came out. I had seen Donny again later that year in Springfield Mass. He was doing his Soldier Of Love Tour. It was Dec 2, 1989. So I was finally going to actually see him in concert. The concert was great and Donny was in great voice and shape. And boy can that boy still dance! After the show my sister Lisa and I went and waited at the backdoor along with some other fans. After about and hour wait he finally came out. Again I did not have a camera because camera's were not allowed in the theater. Anyway he came out, I got his autograph and a birthday kiss from him. My sister told him that it was my birthday in 3 days and asked him if he could give me a kiss. I almost died! He did, he kissed me on the check! I don't know how long I went before I washed my cheek (just kidding. I was hard to do though) but I did it. Then we all stood around his car and sang him happy birhtday. It was a great evening. My sister even thanked me for being an Osmond fan! After he gave me my kiss my sister put her head in his car and kissed him on his cheek!!!! That girl has guts!! Wohoo!! Well, it was 10 years before I got to see him again. That was at his book signing in NJ. That was way to long. I hope I don't have to wait that long again. I've also seen Second Generation , back when they were The Osmond Boys. They were real cuties and still are. My friend Laura and I got to see 2nd G again this year in the play Joseph. They did such a great job playing Josephs brothers. My dream is to meet all the other Osmonds Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Jimmy and Mother and Father. :o)

DONNY AND MARIE IN CT

This was 1989, the very first time that I saw Donny. I'm glad the picture came out even though I had no flash!

One of many pictures I've taken of Marie . This was at Lake Compounce in Bristol CT in 1987. Unfortunatly I was never able to get one of just her and I. One day I'm sure. :o)

SECOND G AND ALAN IN MASS.

This is me and The Osmond Boys. That's what they went by back then. They were performing at The Big E in Mass. Don't I just fit right in? How cute are they. And look how tall they were already!

Was I ever surprised when I saw Alan at the show! He was backstage. I asked him for his autograph and he was kind enough to give it to me. I had my camera but by the time I got to Alan there was no one around to take the picture. My dream for that picture ended up comeing true about 7 years later. ;o)

DONNY, ALAN AND SECOND G IN NJ!

This is another picture of Donny and I at his booksigning in NJ of this year 1999. Is he cute or what!! :o)

And here it is. I got to see Alan again when 2nd G was performing in Joseph in NJ on July 14th 1999. He was so kind. He even stopped to talk to a few of us who were waiting for the second show to let out so we could see the boys again.

Laura got to meet Alan too! Don't they look great?

This is Alex with Alan. Isn't he another cutie? Alex and Tyler some times act in Joseph as well.

This is Michael. He and his brothers are performing in Joseph all around the country. He was very kind as well. He let us take picturs with him and gave autographs. We even got to see his wife Beka! Some other people got a treat the week before because they even got to see his little girl Suzi.

Here's Michael and Laura!

Here is Nathan. He is such a cute ( as are the others ). He stopped and chatted with us until everyone had gone. What a guy!

Nathan and Laura. Laura new just the right questions to ask him. She did great!

This is Scott. Is he a doll or what. These guys are all so tall! He was also nice to speak with. He stayed around quite a while too. :o)

Scott and Laura.

And here is Jon. The most shy of them all. At least that's what we all think. He is so cute. The first time I saw him was so funny. I was standing listining to Nathan talk to some fans. All of a sudden I hear, excuse me, would you like me to sign that for you? I looked behind me and saw that it was Jon! I said oh sure! And he signed the picture of him and his brothers that I was holding. Sweet or what!

This is Jon again with Laura. :o)

SECOND G AFTER A JOSEPH SHOW IN CT!

Here's me Nate, Scott and Doug after a Joseph performance in Wallingford CT. I waited around after the show and saw them come out of the theater! They were great. They are such sweethearts.
